St Ethelburga's Well, formerly St Eadburgh's Well, Lyminge, Kent, 1911, TR 1619 4090
Postcard of 1911. This well is still extant as shown. It is not clear when the dedication of this well was changed from St Eadburgh's Well to At Ethelburga's, but this clearly occurred after 1911. The parish church also changed from St Mary and St Eadburgh to St Mary and St Ethelburga. A branch of the Nailbourne Stream, later the Little Stour river, emergesat the site of this well. The 1898 well house pumps drinking water up from the spring below - the holy well proper now visible through iron railings.
