ST. CATHERINE'S WELL, Bredon Hill, Worcestershire.
|
Photographed Summer 1985. Despite it's isolated locale and the indignity of having a drainage pipe forced into it, this spring was once the focus of a medieval chapel and the now-vanished village of Wollashull, where a fair was held annually on St Catherine's Day.
It's also near ancient earthworks.
